Boost Vitalitea was born not just from an idea—but from pain, healing, and a shared desire to help others.
All of us had struggled silently—but for two of us, the battle with mental health was deeply intertwined with our physical health. At different points in our lives, we each faced serious medical conditions that left us hospitalized for over three months. The experience of coming close to death—alone, afraid, and uncertain—left a lasting mark. Those moments reshaped our priorities. We didn’t just want to recover—we wanted to advocate for wellness, so that others wouldn’t have to suffer in silence the way we did.
It was during a TCM module in NUS that inspiration struck. We discovered how Traditional Chinese Medicine—something so deeply rooted in our culture—held untapped potential for managing stress, improving sleep, and supporting emotional balance. But we also realized hardly anyone our age took it seriously. It felt too distant.
After winning that competition, we didn’t stop. We reached out to food scientists, TCM experts, and practitioners. Together, we began reimagining what TCM could look like in today’s world. The first result? A calming milk tea blend that combines over 10 TCM herbs with creamy oatmilk—something youth would actually reach for when they’re stressed or struggling to sleep.
Since incorporating in May 2024, we’ve continued to grow. We expanded into TCM-inspired essential oils for aromatherapy, understanding that not everyone finds comfort the same way. Some prefer a warm drink. Others need a scent to soothe the mind.
But what grounds us is our mission. Boost Vitalitea isn’t just a wellness brand—it’s a social enterprise. Our vision is to make mental wellness accessible, natural, and culturally rooted. We’re working to support not just students and working adults, but also underprivileged youth and seniors who are often left behind in conversations about mental health.
This isn’t just our business. It’s our way of giving back, with every bottle, every blend, and every story shared.
